March 2023 Blog and Personal Recap

A roundup of my blog and life in March.

Blog

I may have only posted three times this month but I’m happy about that. I’m very surprised with how well my anxiety post has done in terms of views and engagement. I’ve had some people talk about their experiences with the medication, and some others thanking me for posting about it, and that was my goal with the post.

As usual, when a new Sims 4 pack comes out, my other reviews start getting more views, so that’s added a spike in my views overall for the month.

Posts

Personal

  • I got a major haircut: after the last few months, I wanted a change, so I did something to my hair I’ve never done before. I was kind of nervous but I ended up liking it more than I thought I would.
  • The month was slow: I didn’t do much this month, which is fine. I wanted to get out and go places but the weather didn’t agree so it’s been a lot of cleaning, planning for vacation in a few months, and just working on myself.
  • My first month almost anxiety free: as I said in my anxiety update, it’s been under great control and continues to be. Very rarely do I get super anxious anymore. I’m not saying it’s gone. I don’t want it to be gone but the fact that I only have to check to make sure things are turned off two times rather than five when I leave the house is a good sign.

Favorites

The Mandalorian Season 3

This was one of my most-looked-forward-to-anything of the year. I am enjoying the season so far but a little bummed that some of the episodes have been shorter, and that’s just because I want to see more of these characters. I also love seeing how much Grogu has grown and is getting better with the Force and is going to say his first words soon!

Wednesdays are the days I’m not online because I don’t watch the episode until later in the day with my family, and I actually got spoiled for the season two finale with Luke, so I’ve been much more careful this time around.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Introducing Star Wars: Rebels Characters

I’m lucky I didn’t post this before watching the last episode in March but I’m so glad I watched Rebels months ago because not only did I know what the Purgils were in the first episode, but I literally screamed ZEB when he showed up in live action.

Like…I can’t believe I’m looking at a live action Zeb. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around it but I’m so damn excited.

The Lost Hero

I am onto the next Rick Riordan series. Luckily, my sister owns this one as well. It’s a lot thicker than the Percy Jackson series so I probably won’t get through three books this month, but I’m enjoying it so far. I’m glad that a lot of the same characters are in this one but through the eyes of new characters.

The Sims 4: Growing Together

So, I plan on posting an actual review on this but in short: I’m enjoying this pack. It’s been fun playing with new compatibility system and milestones. It definitely adds to gameplay.

However, I’m worried because the computer I use for playing The Sims (which is an eight-year-old MacBook) is getting full on space and I don’t have the money to buy an actual gaming laptop.

Accomplishments

  • goal: read 1 book
    • read 3 as I finished Percy Jackson
  • goal workout 3 days a week
    • worked out 3-4 days every week
  • goal: 1 blog post
    • posted 3 times
  • goal: eat better
    • I’m getting there by eating a salad every lunch, healthier snacks, and keeping tracking of everything
  • goal: get a haircut
    • done
  • goal: get out of the house
    • I did as I finished physical therapy, took my dog to the vet, and started getting things for gardening but like I said, the weather didn’t agree
  • started meditating again
  • 1-2 vegetarian/pescatarian days a week

April 2023 Goals

  • finish 2 books
  • workout 3-4 days a week
  • meditate 1 day a week
  • post 2 times
  • stop falling asleep on my phone
  • go to the movies

This month was a little slower and not much happened, but I’m sure it’s what I needed after the last couple of months.

It is great you had an almost anxiety free month! That’s amazing. That is such an achievement in itself. Thank you for sharing your March recap. I hope April is a great month for you!
